Providence Accident Lawyer

Dedication, Commitment, Perseverance

These are the qualities I've strived to bring to law since the beginning. Since that beginning, when in 1982 I switched from driving a taxi cab in New York City to put myself through law school, I then began to work full time on trials — first for the district attorney's office in Manhattan. From there, I became a state prosecutor in Dade County (Miami, FL) and then relocated to Rhode Island in 1988 to become a state prosecutor with the Rhode Island attorney general's office. During my career as a prosecutor, I never once lost a murder trial. See David's successful prosecutions.

I, David Morowitz, began personal injury work in 1994, and never looked back. At my first two firms in Rhode Island and Boston, respectively, I led the firms with jury verdicts in excess of a million dollars. I established my own practice in 1998.

I combine trial methodology and personal experience in dealing with personal injury cases. As a child my brother was injured at camp when his retina was detached due to someone's negligence. My mother hired a lawyer, and he never responded to her calls. I still remember the anger and frustration this caused me and my family. I always return phone calls within 24 hours.

A few years ago I was involved in a boating accident. I was admitted in critical condition and spent a week in the intensive care unit. I was hospitalized for six weeks during which time I underwent 11 surgeries and needed pain medication constantly. I was totally dependent on medical professionals. Even as I was recuperating, it would take me hours to just get out of the house. I understand what my clients go through.

Rhode Island Personal Injury Attorney

With these experiences in tow, I understand the importance of working intimately with my clients. Those facing the loss of a loved one or a permanent personal injury suffered by themselves or a family member, need prompt, courteous and personalized service. By intimately understanding my clients, I'm able to optimally prepare a case for trial that in turn offers the greatest opportunity for settlement. Insurance companies know what I'm prepared to do, and when I take a case, it's a very serious matter. I invite you to view the media coverage and verdicts and settlements to see what this contingency-based approach looks like in action. I'm ready to use this approach in my work with you.
